Maintenance Technician
HPCareers is assisting our prestigious global manufacturing client at their facility in Shipley. We are seeking a professional Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join a busy Maintenance Department. This role is will involve the implementation of continuous improvement activities, PPM and reactive maintenance work to support manufacturing machinery to ensure smooth production, quality and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Respond appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations
- Assist the team to deliver departmental KPI’s
- Schedule machine time with Production in order to perform modifications, repairs or planned maintenance
- Follow up orders and ensure spare parts are fitted to the appropriate machines
- Analyze history on equipment, assess breakdowns, prioritize and take appropriate corrective action.
- Provide technical assistance to ensure shortest possible machine downtime, recording and creating manuals & drawings to help early machine recovery.
- Process, review, and expedite work orders, modification and equipment drawings, schematics, check sheets, job instructions, and calibrations records.
Experience required:
- Minimum ONC or City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent (Technical Certificate, etc.)
- PLC experience Faultfinding
- Conversant with the use of machine tools
- AC, DC & Servo Drive Experience
- Knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and terms
- Ability to undertake a high level of activity
- Engineering apprenticeship, together with at least 2 years' experience in a maintenance department of a manufacturing company.
Rotating AM/PM Shift Pattern
AM: Mon – Thu, 6am - 2pm (Fri, 6am - 11am)
PM: Mon – Thu, 2pm - 10pm (Fri, 11am - 4pm)
